Twelfth Annual Bus Tour: September 9-10, 2017 - SOLD OUT

Be one of the lucky people on the twelfth annual BCWAS bus tour! This year, we’re visiting the South Okanagan: highlights will include a lunch at Miradoro with the amazing view there, a catered dinner at Adega on 45th, just up the road from our hotel, and a lunch by our bus tour heroes Joy Road Catering at LaStella Winery.

All of our destinations have lovely vineyard and valley views. Each winery is also doing a special tasting just for us! When we said we were coming to visit, each winery offered to do something fun – and they’re all different. Truly, the BC wineries know just how special you all are!

We’ll be based at the Best Western Plus Sunrise in Osoyoos (rated #4 of 26 hotels in Osoyoos). We have reserved a block of rooms, and several keeners have already booked! Our rate is $119, and this includes breakfast (waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc.). We have also reserved six 1-bedroom units with two queen beds for $139. Hotel amenities include McKia’s Restaurant, pool, hot-tub, gym, and free Wi-Fi. Please note: Accommodation is not included in the tour price, so please make your own arrangements. You don’t have to stay at the Best Western if you have an alternative, but please make sure you are on time for the bus departure each morning. As always, we recommend that you stay over the Sunday night rather than driving back to Vancouver after a long day of wine tasting.

Rather fly than drive? No problem – we’ll arrange to have your wine delivered to Vancouver (for free!).

Cost is $350 (members only) - and due to Saturday’s dinner being less expensive than usual, we have lowered the cost $45 this year!

Saturday (bus leaves at 8:45am):

• Le Vieux Pin Winery - private tasting with winemaker
• Tinhorn Creek Vineyards - private tasting with owner/winemaker
• Miradoro Restaurant - two-course lunch with wine pairing
• Gehringer Brothers Winery - private tasting with owner/winemaker
• Maverick Winery - private tasting with owner/winemaker
• Back to hotel, relax, change for dinner
• Adega on 45th - wine tasting followed by catered dinner courtesy of Shayna and Shulman

Sunday (bus leaves at 9:00am):

• Moon Curser Vineyards - vineyard tour & private tasting with owner/winemaker
• Gold Hill Winery - private tasting with owner
• LaStella Winery - private tasting; two-course lunch with wine pairing by Joy Road Catering
• Bartier Bros. Winery - private tasting with owner

Friday and Sunday optional dinners/socials:
Brian and Kristal will work on dinner get-togethers at Campo Marina (across the street from Best Western) on Friday and McKia’s in the hotel on Sunday.

How do I sign up?

Reservations will be open on Wednesday, June 28 at 3:00pm.

Once reservations open, e-mail your reservation intent to [email protected], then pay your deposit. Your deposit must be received to secure your spot on the tour! To pay your deposit, you have the following options:

• Send an e-transfer of $100 per person to [email protected], or
• Mail a cheque to P.O. Box 48912 Bentall Station, Vancouver V7X 1A8, or   
• Pay your deposit by PayPal. (PayPal’s 3% service fee will also be added).

Your non-refundable deposit of $100 is due by July 22; the balance is due August 26.
