SUMMERLAND SPRING BUS TOURJUNE 2023
A fabulous first day of our BCWAS Summerland spring tour. We started at Silkscarf winery with a great tasting led by Roie and Ruth. We started with red and ended with bubbles and had a lot of laughs in between.
Next stop was a tour and tasting with Ron at Lightning Rock, such a beautiful property with stunning views. We enjoyed their Pet Nat wines, as well as other sparkles and they were delicious! We lunched at Dirty Laundry, enjoying smoked meat and fire oven pizza with fun and tasty wines and a great story! It was beautiful sitting on their deck taking in the views and enjoying delicious food and great wines! Finally, a wonderful dinner at Play winery where we again enjoyed stunning views, this time of the valley in Penticton and a great Italian inspired dinner paired with Play’s amazing wines! |
Our Sunday started with brunch, bubbles, and tasting Evolve, Chronos, Time and McWater Collection wines. Absolutely amazing morning at TIME Family of Wines.
Next stop was Giant Head Winery… great story and great tasting of fantastic wines!
We followed this up with a stop at Summerland Cider for a palate cleansing treat of beautiful ciders at this stunning property. Ted and Lauren are the third generation to grow apple trees and produce this wonderful cider.
And finally, our last stop was Lunessence winery where we got some beautiful drone shots of the property and enjoyed more wonderful wine with a picnic lunch.

DOUBLE MALBEC TASTING
The long awaited Malbec tasing finally happened, and we had some amazing wines! A big shout out to our Cellar Master and resident wine guru, Russell Ball who led us through a fantastic double blind tasting. Catherine tallied up all of the votes and we had a clear winner, a clear loser, and a lot of delicious in between's A wonderful evening! Thank you to all who joined us. |
