The Society has been diligently cellaring this delicious, benchmark Pinot Noir for 10 years and we are delighted to be able to share these wines with you. The ten-year vertical will include the 2006 to 2015 vintages. Arrive at the False Creek Yacht Club and enjoy a cold glass of Blue Mountain’s Rose Brut to prepare your palate for an evening of delightful surprises. The bubbly is crisp, refreshing, and will be setting off the evening in style. Don’t miss out on what is sure to be a spectacular event! Get your tickets early for this unique Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars event: as with all vertical tastings, there is a cap for attendance at this event and tickets will go fast! This tasting is currently open to members only. |
Started by Jane and Ian Mavety in 1971, Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars has always been a family operation. For 21 years the Mavetys supplied premium grapes to commercial wineries when finally, the allure of producing quality wines inspired them to craft their own label in 1991. Today, on their 31-hectare estate, they make limited quantities of complex wines from noble varietals including Pinot Noir, Gamay Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay -- the same varietals found in the Champagne, Burgundy, and Alsace regions of France. In the vineyard, methods favor low crop yields to concentrate and intensify flavours. While using modern equipment in the winery, wine-making is respectful of traditional methods. |
