The BCWAS is delighted to announce our first dinner of 2016, with the beautiful Similkameen Valley's Orofino Vineyards! Join winery owners John and Virginia Weber and your fellow wine society bon vivants as we enjoy what will surely be an amazing dinner at Vancouver's award-winning Fable Restaurant in Kitsilano.
John and Virginia purchased their original Cawston property in 2001 and the winery opened its doors in 2005. Their philosophy has always been that the place is a huge part of what makes the wine: every summer they host a 1.6 Mile Dinner – you can’t get much more local than that!
Orofino is proud to offer a Collector's Club: benefits include valuable discounts, special club events, exclusive and library wines, and more. Make sure you visit the Weber's unique solar-powered, strawbale construction winery next time you’re in the Similkameen. We are thrilled that John and Virginia are generously bringing along some special library wines to enjoy with our dinner!

What do you get when you mix the words Farm and Table together? Why, Fable, of course! Fable’s farm-to-table vision is the perfect match for Orofino’s ideas, and we are sure that their food will also be a perfect match for the wines. Every day, local produce is delivered to their door, and they create wonderful meals from it. Visit Fable for weekday lunch and weekend brunch as well – sit up front and watch the kitchen team prepare your selection, or relax in the cozy brick-walled room further back. Either way, you’ll enjoy your visit!
